Profhilo® is the latest in the anti-ageing injectable treatment and is unbelievably effective in skin hydration, remodelling and restoring natural firmness of the skin.

We all know that genetic or intrinsic ageing, combined with extrinsic factors such as sun exposure, smoking, pollution, gravity, stress, diet and lifestyle can all age our appearance. Profhilo works to boost the levels of collagen and elastin in the skin to reverse this process and remodel the deep supporting dermis layer of the skin. Containing a high dose of hyaluronic acid, which stimulates your skin’s fibroblast cells to increase collagen and elastin production, it increases the firmness, smoothness and elasticity, improving the overall quality of the skin.

You may think Hyaluronic Acid, that’s what fillers are made up of! You’re right, although Profhilo and dermal fillers are all made up of Hyaluronic Acid, their characteristics and function differ in more ways than one. Profhilo is a skin rejuvenator and doesn’t change the structure of the face. Its formulation allows it to flow over an extended area to boost hydration and smoothen and ‘remodel’ the skin. Whereas dermal fillers remain in the area they are placed in and restore loss of volume, enhance the facial structure and plump up deep lines and wrinkles.

Due to its unique characteristics, Profhilo can even benefit younger individuals, in their late 20s and early 30s where normally other injectable treatments would not be indicated. In these instances, it can have a more of a preventive effect by maintaining the skin’s collagen and elastin, and by increasing its hydration
Profhilo is complementary to, rather than competitive with traditional fillers – to improve and expand what we can achieve currently with dermal fillers. It can be used on its own or it is ideal following other cosmetic treatments, whenever the skin structure needs to be improved.

Most common areas treated with Profhilo are face and neck – thanks to ‘tech neck’ – but it can also be used effectively for crepey skin around knees, back of hands, upper arms, chest and décolletage.

Usually two sessions of Profhilo are required, spaced one month apart. Results can be seen from one week to one month after treatment and effects last approximately 6 Months. Results vary between individuals depending on lifestyle and condition of skin.
